Challenges and Requirements
|
|
Under 5G and ORAN infrastructures, from one userʼs mobile phone to a multi-storey data center, everything is connected to a network. As server and networking applications need to process loads of big data, memory products with higher capacity and endurance, faster speed of data processing, and higher level of data security are on demand. Apacer understands the best and most efficient ways to protect and store data. And we are committed to helping the server and networking industries grow into the next decade and beyond.
|
|
Hardware that runs in harsh environments
Since the internet is everywhere, the hardware that supports it needs to be able to run everywhere, too. Server and networking components need to be tough enough to survive more punishing environments.
|
Longer lifespans even for write-intensive operation
Highly active networks involve a large amount of write operations for small packets of data. Apacer offers value-adding technologies that can allocate resources in the most efficient configurations for these kinds of situations, extending the operational lifetime of networked devices.
|
Some networks struggle when their workload changes drastically over time. Apacer uses complex data usage analysis to help customers find the most suitable solution for their needs, even if that means a very flexible solution that can handle abnormal or unusual changes in workload. |
||
Apacer's Enterprise Series SSDs |
|
These enterprise SSD are developed around the latest BiCS5 112-layer 3D NAND Flash memory technology. They incorporate QoS and Namespaces to improve latency and stability. They also support Apacer’s value-adding technologies such as CoreGlacierTM, DataDefenderTM and End-to-End Data Protection. AES-256 bit hardware encryption and Signed Firmware technology can also be incorporated, as well as advanced power protection. |
|
Featured Technologies |
|
The Importance of Quality of Service
The term “Quality of Service” is a measurement of a network’s consistency and predictability of latency and IOPS performance while handling a read/write workload. It works by prioritizing certain classes of traffic, reserving resources for traffic and setting up queues when needed. It can help prevent packet losses, minimize latency, reduce jitter and optimize bandwidth. |
|
|
The Advantages of Namespaces
A namespace is a collection of logical block addresses accessible by host software. Each namespace is given an identifier known as an NSID, which is used by a controller to provide access to a namespace. If namespaces are installed on a physical or virtual server, each namespace will appear as a separate SSD to the host. Namespaces allow for logical isolation for each user’s data. They offer a more secure way to distribute storage in networks.

-
DataRAID™
With advancements in NAND Flash memory processes, the number of storage units per block has significantly increased, creating a heightened need to safeguard data reliability. Apacer addresses this concern with its innovative DataRAID™ technology.
-
End-to-end Data Protection
This technology ensures that whenever data moves from the host to the controller or from the controller to DRAM or NAND flash, error checking is applied. In some cases, error correction will also be part of the circuit.
-
Page Mapping
Page mapping is an advanced flash management technology and can be considered the ideal solution for industrial applications to increase random access speed and improve SSD lifespan, reduce block erase frequency, and achieve optimized performance.
-
Over-provisioning
Apacer’s SSDs support over-provisioning, which sets aside a certain portion of the physical capacity of the memory to carry out garbage collection, wear-leveling and bad block management. The result is a longer operating lifetime.
-
SLC-lite
What is your priority when choosing NAND flash type for your industrial automation systems: performance, reliability, or cost?
-
CorePower
Apacer's CorePower is a hardware-based technology designed to prevent data loss and ensure the stability of data transmission during a power outage by implementing backup power supply that allows sufficient time to move all cached data to NAND flash.
-
TCG Opal 2.0
TCG Opal handles the encryption/decryption of information within the device without requiring a host, enabling fast encryption/ decryption and minimizing the risk of data leakage without undermining system performance.
-
Anti-Sulfuration
Apacer's world's first patented anti-sulfuration memory modules and anti-sulfuration SSDs with the industry's highest level of anti-corrosion certification can meet the needs of industrial products facing harsh environments.
-
Conformal Coating
Conformal coating improves product reliability when applied on the surface of printed circuit boards. This protective film can safeguard devices from dust ingression and liquid immersion.
-
Nano Coating
This IP57 waterproof and dustproof solution is especially ideal for SSD modules as it provides invulnerable protection for the components on the devices.
-
Thermal Throttling
Thermal throttling mechanism dynamically adjusts frequency scaling to enhance data reliability and provides sustained performance while overheating.
-
Wide Temperature
Apacer’s products are designed with wide temperature support to ensure operation reliability in extreme temperatures ranging from -40ºC to 85ºC.
-
CoreAnalyzer2
CoreAnalyzer2 is an exclusive, analytic data-behavior technology implemented on our SSD products. Featuring collecting and analyzing data of customers' host system, it can help our customers analyze their usage behavior so they can choose the best-suited.
-
SSDWidget 2.0
Apacer SSDWidget 2.0 is a comprehensive disk monitoring and maintaining utility. Designed with the concepts of S.M.A.R.T., SSDWidget2.0 can monitor SSD’s health-related information and provide SSD status for SSD lifetime monitoring and workload analysis.
